Our History
Generations of Oconto-area residents have worshipped at Zion Lutheran Church for nearly 100 years. As a community of believers, we live out God’s message of love and hope found in the Bible.
Worship
Zion’s traditional, liturgical worship services are scripturally based and Christ-centered. In-person worship is encouraged, but for those unable to gather in person, we offer online and radio options.
Growing Faith
Zion’s Sunday School and Confirmation programs are Christ-focused, age appropriate, and designed to build a strong foundation of the Lutheran faith for children and youth.
A Deep & Alive LCMS Lutheran Faith
Many people living in our fast-paced, affluent, and materialistic world disregard Christianity as relevant any more. At Zion Lutheran Church, we believe just the opposite. Our Christian faith is deep and alive. We are saved through sola scriptura (Scripture alone), solus Christus (Christ alone), sola fide (faith alone), sola gratia (grace alone), and soli Deo gloria (glory to God alone). God is the Creator of all that exists and the center of our lives. As a community of believers, we worship and praise God and share the Gospel message of salvation with those around us.
